BTTB-X-Series: United States Of Audio
United States of Audio aka Dave Trigg, kommt aus dem wunderschönen Urlaubsort Bath, das nicht weit von Bristol entfernt liegt. Er hat mit ein paar Freunden das Label Under Construction Records gegründet und wird darauf bald Singles veröffentlichen. Dave kann man vor allem in Bath hören, wo er in Bars und Clubs eklektische Sounds zwischen Funk, HipHop, Ska und Electro auflegt. In einer Guest-Appearance war er kürzlich auch bei Solid Steel zu hören, wo er einen Numbers-Mix rund um Zahlen mixte.“There’s no specific style associated with Under Construction, the aim of the label is just to promote great music and the spoken word. Darin hört ihr Neuheiten, einen Mix von Osymyso und den längsten Mix, der je bei BTTB lief: Der fünfstündige Mondmix von Jean-Michel aus Münster. Außerdem gibt's einen Ausschnitt aus dem 70-minütigen DJ-Set, das Kid Koala am vergangenen Samstag im Echochamber abgeliefert hat. Hier der komplette Plan: 23.00-23.30 - Neuheiten [tracklist not yet available]Unklar ist noch, wie lange die Sendung tatsächlich laufen wird. Dem Programm nach wird um 8 Uhr das Frühstückskombinat übernehmen, da die Sendung aber oft ausfällt besteht berechtigte Hoffnung, daß vor 12 Uhr niemand übernimmt. Und mit Glück läuft das ganze dann sogar bis 13 Uhr. Nachtrag: Letztendlich hat tatsächlich jemand um 8 Uhr übernommen, so daß alles was ab 8 Uhr laufen sollte doch nicht lief. BTTB-X-Series: King Megatrip
Heute mit dem zweiten Mix von Agent MK aka King Megatrip. Dank Agent MK kann man neue Shows von Solid Steel relativ leicht in diversen Tauschbörsen finden, und auch die BTTB-Shows werden von ihm ganz gut verteilt. Und nebenbei platziert er seine eigenen Mixes öfters mal in Solid Steel oder in BTTB. Außerdem sammelt er Spoken Word, Movie und Old Time Radio Samples und hat da schon mehr als acht CDs mit jeweils 99 Schnipseln zusammengestellt, die er anderen Radiosendungen (wie eben Solid Steel und BTTB) widmet und zur Verfügung stellt. In seinen Mixes macht er auch Gebrauch von diesen Samples und wie sich das dann anhört, das könnt ihr heute abend hören. Da der Mix 70 min lang ist, beginnt er schon etwas vor 23 Uhr.

| BTTB-X-Series: Tim Rivers Morgen findet die nächste Hip House Hooray Party statt - diesmal im Echochamber. Und fast schon Tradition ist der dazugehörige Mix bei BTTB. Der erste kam vom Vinylizer selbst, der zweite war eine Soul <-> HipHouse Session und heute gibt es einen Gastmix von Tim Rivers von theacidhouse.com. Tim ist 29 Jahre alt, wohnt in South südlich von London und legt seit 1992 auf. My style back then was playing hardcore breakbeat and jungle at some of the illegal raves and parties that swept the uk before the Criminal Justice Act prevented these illegal festivals happening. Nach einer kurzen Phase als Touri-DJ in Griechenland, während der er vor allem House und Trance auflegen musste, um das Publikum beim tanzen zu halten, kehrte Tim nach England zurück und legt inzwischen fast ausschließlich Underground Tunes aus den Jahren 1988-1993. Although i was not DJing in 1988 I have followed dance music since 1983 when the Electro & Breakdance era was in its prime, listening to the sounds of Africa bambatta, Hashim and Chris 'The Glove'. My mixing now blends the early acid sounds of 88 with the Hip house sound of 89 through to the techno and hardcore anthems of 90-91 and the breakbeat and jungle of 92-93. "Vor 15 Jahren revolutionierte Acid House die Popkultur – jetzt droht ein Revival" schreibt Sebastian Zabel unter dem Titel "Wir töteten Rock'n'Roll!" im Februar 2002 in der Süddeutschen. Schon ein Jahr vorher fand im April 2001 die erste HipHouseHooray statt - ausgerechnet an dem Tag, an dem Harvey Ball, der Erfinder des Smiley Logos, verstarb. Der Smiley sollte Lebensfreude und gute Laune symbolisieren. Mit Erfolg: Anfang der 70er Jahre hefteten ihn sich über 50 Millionen
Amerikaner an ihre Jacken. Das lachende Gesicht auf gelbem Grund schmückte 1999 sogar eine Briefmarke. Seit Ende der 80er wird der Smiley mit Acid- und Hip House assoziiert. Womit wir wieder bei Hip House Hooray wären: Die vierte Party findet heute abend im Echochamber statt. Eigentlich war geplant, daß Otis Fodder sein 365 Days Project heute selbst vorstellt. Aber er hat sich einen Monat mehr Zeit erbeten, deswegen wird er das erst am 20. Juni machen. Dafür stellt der Vinylizer das Projekt heute vor. Bei dem 365 Days Project handelt es sich um eine Website, auf der seit dem 1. Januar ein Jahr lang täglich ein obskures MP3-File veröffentlicht wird. Dabei werden einige Tage auch von Gästen kuratiert. Bei den MP3-Files kann es sich um alles mögliche handeln: Werbung, ein Mitschnitt einer Radiosendung, ein Song, eine wissenschaftliche Beschreibung - was auch immer. Es muß nur obskur sein. Die Sendung ist dementsprechend sehr vielfältig, oft lustig, mal hart an der Schmerzgrenze und ab und zu erschütternd. Die Adresse der Website ist www.otisfodder.com.
